On Friday 11 December, Benugo will launch the first issue of its newly introduced house magazine, Espress, a journal of articles and insights that celebrate culture and food. A complimentary quarterly print title, Espress will be distributed exclusively at 18 Benugo operated restaurants, 16 shops and 18 public spaces which include Barbican, V&A, Natural History Museum, Westminster Abbey, The Royal Parks, The House of St Barnabas, Ashmolean, and English National Opera.
Designed by London based design studio Ico, Espress will focus on cultural content, drawing on a range of contributors across food and creative industries. The debut Autumn/Winter issue will feature:
- established writers such as Henrietta Bredin (Opera Magazine), Adam Coghlan (Guardian) and Joe O’Shea (Independent);
- experts from the food and drinks industry including Karam Sethi (Gymkhana), David Gleave (Liberty Wines) and Kevin Thornton (Thornton’s Restaurant);
- stars of the design and art world such as Mason Wells (Bibliotheque), Sally Mackereth (Studio Mackereth) and Jonathan Hagos (Freehaus);
- and model, columnist and TV host Naomi Shimada and Benugo Founder and Espress Editor, Ben Warner.
Espress is the latest from a series of innovative media platforms produced by premium hospitality brands such as Rice Paper (Duck & Rice), House (Soho House), and Jamie Oliver’s Food Tube. Watch out for a copy on your next visit to a Benugo esrablishment!
