Malmaison, the iconic boutique hotel brand, has completed a massive refurbishment of its Leeds hotel. The programme has once re-affirmed its status as the go-to destination with a renovated bar, brasserie and reception area in the converted Victorian office block in the historic city’s vibrant Swinegate area.
Once again Malmaison is pushing boundaries with the newly introduced Chez Mal bar and brasserie replacing the existing restaurant. Guests and visitors will see a wider than ever selection of new and classic cocktails, all in the setting of low hanging bulbs, exposed brick, gorgeous natural wood finishes and rich leather banquette seating. As ever food is high on the agenda and in addition to the new mouth-watering menu, the hotel’s two private dining areas have been upgraded to ensure that the hotel caters to everyone and in real style.
The wow factor starts the moment guests arrive with the lobby area boasting new marble flooring and the creation of two new lounges for guests to enjoy drinks and nibbles. It continues as guests move to their rooms with new fabrics taking Malmaison’s famous dark and edgy look to new stylish levels.
The Leeds refurbishment comes as part of wider multi-million pound investment in the Yorkshire region made by the Malmaison Hotel du Vin Group. Plans have been made to bring similar levels of investment to Malmaison’s sister brand Hotel du Vin with its properties in York and Harrogate. Malmaison Hotel du Vin Group, currently employs 250 people in Yorshire pouring millions back into the region’s hospitality and tourism industry.
Earlier in September it was announced that Malmaison Leeds was selected by the MOBOs as its official hotel partner for the 2015 awards. The newly refurbished hotel will welcome some of the biggest names in the international urban music scene as it hosts guests of the awards in the run up to, and on the night of, the event.
Paul Roberts, CEO, Malmaison Hotel du Vin, said:
“We are delighted to unveil the newly refurbished Malmaison Leeds. With the new Chez Mal bar and brasserie, guests and visitors will experience sumptuous food and drink in stunning settings. We are hugely proud of what we have to offer those coming to Malmaison Leeds and excited about our multi million pound refurbishment programme that will extend throughout our properties in Yorkshire. We have always been, and remain, big fans of the county.”
