The Master Innholders, the elite group of influential hoteliers established by the Worshipful Company of Innholders in 1978, are calling on the sector’s leading hotel management to apply for the prestigious Master Innholder accolade.
Successful applicants will be granted Master Innholder status and will join an inspiring group of professionals, who set outstanding standards in hotel management.
For the last 38 years, the Master Innholders has honoured many well-known hoteliers such as David Morgan-Hewitt, managing director of The Goring; Claire Randall, managing director of Lucknam Park; Mark Chambers, the managing director of Eden Hotel Collection; Patrick Burke, owner and managing director of The Atlantic Hotel; and Danny Pecorelli, managing director of Exclusive Hotels and Venues.
Master Innholders make a significant contribution to the work of industry organisations and industry training and education initiatives. They have also developed the annual General Managers’ Conference over the past 22 years such that it is now one of the key events in the industry’s calendar. In their objective to advance professional standards of hotel management, the Master Innholders are also active in promoting the Master Innholder Scholarship programme and the Aspiring Leaders Diploma, thus allowing them to contribute to the direction and continued growth of the hotel industry.
From proprietors of boutique hotels to chief executives and managing directors of international chains, the Master Innholder Awards are open to hoteliers from all backgrounds. Applicants must be able to prove that they continually exceed consumer expectations; hold exemplary skills in business management and, critically, are passionate about professional standards.
To be considered for the award, candidates must complete an application form, available to download online. This must also be accompanied by a short paper which asks individuals about their management style and seeks to establish their contribution to professionalism to date and what they could bring to the Master Innholders.
