The development of new menu options stretches the creativity of chefs to deliver results that keep diners coming back for more. New menu developments can of course over time become favourites or even signature dishes, but all start as an idea that is tried, tested and developed.

Open Kitchen Live menu development days bring chefs together demonstrating their culinary skills with restauranteurs attending from all sectors of our industry observing carefully. When the creations are cooked and served presentation and taste is judged before all receive their certificate and one is awarded as the winner.
Our last menu development day, the chefs, their dishes and the winner can be seen here. The next menu development day at Open Kitchen Live is Tuesday 27th October at our demonstration kitchens in Uxbridge just outside London. Registration to attend is here.
We have two chefs currently taking part, Matthew Byne from Just Hospitality, a London-based contract caterer changing how businesses think about food in the workplace. Damian Wawrzyniak from Fine Art of Dining, Chef Wawrzyniak has enjoyed many different and challenging roles throughout his career, he is most proud of being Head Chef at the London 2012 Olympics Champagne & Seafood Restaurant.
