The Times reports that the Kensington Close Hotel, one of the largest hotels in London, has been put up for sale at an asking price close to £350m.
The stylish Kensington Close Hotel is located in a quiet spot close to the shops of High Street Kensington, just a few minutes’ walk from the nearest tube station, and was extensively refurbished at a cost of £45m in 2012. The hotel has 708 modern guest rooms and 12 flexible meeting rooms which can seat up to 250 delegates. It also possesses a stunning private garden, and Health Club and Spa featuring a full length swimming pool, jaccuzi, sauna, steam room, treatment rooms and fully equipped gymnasium.
Cola Holdings – owned by businessman Bakir Cola – acquired the hotel freehold in 2002 from IHG, and will show a considerable profit over a decade later.
