Almond Restaurant & Bar has unveiled its new look following a five-figure sum investment. The award-winning neighbourhood eatery, located in the heart of West Derby Village, has doubled in size following the acquisition of the second floor of 16 Mill Lane.
As part of the expansion, the venue now features an increased capacity of 70 covers in response to high customer demand, and has created four new jobs and a Chef apprenticeship.
Catering for increased demand
Managing Director Kate Dunn said: “Since opening in 2009, we have continued to develop our prominent stance in the ever-growing Liverpool food scene. With that in mind, we felt that it was the perfect time to expand and upgrade our space, in order to cater for the increased demand from guests spanning across the North West.
“We are looking forward to welcoming existing customers and new faces alike to our fresh new look restaurant and our second floor, we are delighted with the new space which has captured the atmosphere that everybody loves about the place. The second floor will also allow us to further accommodate room hire requests and private dining for a range of occasions including birthdays, corporate events and Christmas parties.”

The venue, crowned ‘Favourite Neighbourhood Restaurant’ in the Liverpool Food and Drink Festival Award’s for three years consecutively, will continue to serve a wide range of menus, including Brunch/ Lunch, Early Evening, A La Carte and Children’s Menu.
