People Management – the official magazine of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) – has published an article on ’50 over 50’ following nominations by members of the public which aim to recognise the value and contribution of an age diverse workforce to the British economy.
Anna White, Chef de Rang, Cambium at Careys Manor Hotel is listed alongside such global personalities as Professor Stephen Hawking and Lord Browne, ex CEO of BP in the feature on ‘Britain’s Best Older Workers’.
Anna, who has spent over 45 years working at Careys Manor Hotel making her the longest serving employee, has shown true dedication and commitment to the business, each and every guest, and to the New Forest as a whole. Humble and modest, Anna’s enthusiasm has helped her develop an outstanding level of customer service and seen her form long lasting friendships with her colleagues and some of the many regular guests to the property.
When asked about the nomination, Anna commented:
“I am truly delighted to be simply nominated in People Management’s top 50 over 50 employees in the UK, let alone feature in the top 10 alongside people such as Professor Stephen Hawking and Lord Browne. In my time at Careys Manor Hotel I’ve been lucky enough to make some lasting friendships both in terms of my ever-supportive colleagues and with so many of our wonderful regular customers here at the hotel. Having now spent 45 years here, I couldn’t imagine life without Careys Manor in one way or another and hope that I have many more years of service left in me yet.”
