New look and menu for The Cinnamon Club

By James Russell: New look and menu for The Cinnamon Club

August 10, 2015

Westminster’s iconic modern Indian restaurant The Cinnamon Club will be closed until 10th September for a six-week refurbishment, costing in the region of £1million. The restaurant will re-open with a contemporary new look and stunning new menu from Executive Chef Vivek Singh and Head Chef Rakesh Ravindran Nair.

Menu additions

Now approaching its 15th year, The Cinnamon Club’s new menu additions will include a selection of large feasting dishes designed for sharing and brought to diners on a trolley and carved tableside. A celebratory Sharing Feast menu will also be available for tables of four or more, whilst the 10-course tasting menu will feature new signature dishes. The Cinnamon Club’s popular take on game classics and delicately-spiced fish will continue to feature.

Refurbishment

The refurbishment will refresh the Grade II listed landmark London restaurant using subtle touches that will further enhance the existing traditional features. The Private Dining Room will offer a feeling of seclusion and comfort, with heavy, luxurious drapes, timber floors and tones of jewel blues and teal. This colour scheme will also feature in the Mezzanine, with artwork adorning the walls and restored oak flooring. Natural brown and lapis blue tones will create an elegant atmosphere in the Main Dining Room, which will retain the exposed bookcases in recognition of the building’s history.

The Library Bar will continue to be classically casual, with antique books adorning the shelves and the addition of a new cocktail range. A gin trolley will also be introduced in the main restaurant, offering diners a selection of cocktails using artisan gins.

Vivek Singh comments: “The Cinnamon Club has never been content with standing still and has always pushed the boundaries with creativity and innovation. The refurbishment is another step in that direction to ensure we are at the cutting edge of London’s dining scene.”
