Ahead of hosting ‘The Blockheads at the Brewery’, a concert to raise funds for the Dark Star Foundation, the legendary Blockheads joined the Sussex brewers to brew a special beer to mark the event.
‘Blockhead’ as it will be known, is a play on the brewer’s most popular beer, Hophead, and was created by the band and the brewers, after what Dark Star director, James Cuthbertson described as “an extensive tasting”.
James added: “The 4% beer is a nod to our very own Hophead, but taken to the dark side through a use of specialty malts, making it a little stronger and hopefully giving drinkers a reason to be cheerful.”
The beer will be available at the concert on 15th August, which sold out just weeks after the tickets were released, as well as through the Dark Star Brewery shop and selected pubs across the county.
