A newly designed, flagship restaurant was announced on 12 August in the heart of Paris. This marks the 4,000th restaurant to open in the brand’s Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) division and acts as a showcase for an all-new, modern restaurant design, which will serve as an additional option for the BURGER KING system globally.
The new restaurant will serve as a global benchmark for a new generation of restaurants. The restaurant, which covers nearly 900 square meters, will be able to seat 250 guests and features three full kitchens and 12 self-order kiosks (pictured below).
“The BURGER KING brand continues to shake things up with this new restaurant image that improves the overall guest experience and better conveys the brand’s rich heritage,” said Axel Schwan, global chief marketing officer, Burger King Corp. “We are excited to see our great partners at BURGER KING France become the first in Europe to bring this exciting new restaurant concept to life.”
The contemporary restaurant has a warm and inviting environment that invokes a feeling of nostalgia around the BURGER KING brand heritage. The design features bright and bold colours; a variety of textures using raw materials of real wood, metal and exposed brick; open ceilings with exposed venting and lights; exposed beams and multiple seating areas including a comfortable lounge area and community tables and booths with dividers to provide privacy. The restaurant also offers a special area where children can play with digital screens and interact with the brand in entertaining and fun ways.
The brand’s reputation for great-tasting, flame-grilled products is also captured in subtle cues throughout the store, showcased by embossed logos ‘seared’ into solid wood tabletop surfaces. Additionally, the brand legacy of “Flame Grilling Since 1954” is highlighted throughout the restaurant and complements a “heritage wall” replete with photographs celebrating the history of the brand.
