Following on from the launch of the Young’s Pubs Burger Shack in May, Young’s Pubs have announced the concept roll-out to a further three sites this July: The Ship in Wandsworth, The Wood House in Dulwich, and The Leather Bottle in Earlsfield.
Each permanent Burger Shack is situated within the pubs’ large beer gardens, each with their own unique look and feel. With accompanying external bars serving a selection of craft beers, ciders and sodas, The Ship and The Wood House provides private heated booths whilst The Leather Bottle’s two “Shepherds Huts” will have a screen and music.
The beef – chosen for its ideal fat content for the juiciest burgers – comes from West Country farms in Devon, Somerset and Dorset, while pork is sourced from Dingley Dell Farm and Essex Freedom Food pigs. Varieties include a beef ‘classic’, a chilli Dingley Dell Farm pulled pork and a vegetarian option; all in a brioche-style bun handmade to an exclusive Young’s recipe by a London artisan baker and served with curly fries.
The Burger Shack has been created in response to a demand for more fast-casual dining options that still deliver on quality. The new premium burger brand provides a bold, engaging and attractive food experience that engages with Young’s more urban, modern demographic.
