Marriott extends Starbucks and Prince’s Trust Partnerships to boost meetings offer

By James Russell: Marriott extends Starbucks and Prince’s Trust Partnerships to boost meetings offer

July 15, 2015

Marriott UK meeting guests will enjoy a Starbucks as standard thanks to the development of a major new partnership deal.

Good coffee as a modern must-have

The leading hospitality company is building on its reputation for delivering great business services with the extension of its existing relationship with the iconic coffee provider. Under the terms of a pioneering agreement, delegates will be able to enjoy Starbucks Filter Coffee all day.

The move comes in response to industry research citing good coffee as a modern must-have for meeting guests of all kinds.

‘Pledge per delegate’

Marriott is also developing its work with long-standing charity partner, The Prince’s Trust, with a new ‘pledge per delegate’ scheme.

In keeping with its ‘Spirit to Serve’ ethos, the hotel group, which owns 57 unique properties across the UK, will donate 25 pence on behalf of each business guest, for events up to ten delegates.

Marriott’s Director of Field Sales for Europe, Katie Ramsay, says:  “We are always looking for ways to help make planning and hosting events easier and guests have told us very clearly that great coffee is a meetings essential.

“We already have a strong working partnership with Starbucks and we know it’s a product that business guests value, so it makes sense to bring its coffee into the boardroom.

“We are equally proud of our ongoing work with The Prince’s Trust and we hope that the donation scheme will help fund even more of their important work.”
