Horseradish secures catering deal with Liverpool Cathedral

By James Russell: Horseradish secures catering deal with Liverpool Cathedral

July 25, 2015

Horseradish, the award winning catering and events division of Chester Race Company has secured a deal to become a preferred caterer for  Britain’s biggest cathedral, in Liverpool.

Named ‘one of the great buildings of the world’ by Sir John Betjeman, Liverpool Anglican Cathedral is a majestic, multi-space venue which can host up to 1000 people for gala dinners and 3000 standing for a concert.

Since securing the rolling contract as preferred caterer, Horseradish has recently catered a milestone event for the region, delivering a bespoke gala dinner at the cathedral for 600 people as Liverpool College celebrated its 175th anniversary.  Horseradish commissioned a promotional video shoot to capture the evening; this has now been released via the Horseradish Hospitality YouTube channel and can be viewed here – it certainly demonstrates a stunning building and spaces.

Commenting on the news, Angus Wilson, Head of Catering at Horseradish said:

“Catering for the celebration of a great educational institution in such an iconic and beautiful venue was very special; we hope to have captured this and have showcased a little of what we can do in our promotional video. We’re delighted to be working with such an important venue in the heart of Liverpool City Centre and look forward to a mutually successful partnership with the Cathedral in which we hope to serve more than 10,000 of their customers every year.”

The contract with Liverpool Cathedral is the latest in a number of new client wins for Horseradish, which caters for more than 220,000 customers every year at its home turf, Chester Racecourse. With experience of delivering high quality catering and events, Horseradish services have grown to include full facility management for clients including Chester Town Hall and creative catering and or events solutions for Speke Hall, Thornton Manor, Chester Cathedral and Cholmondley Pageant of Power at Cholmondley Castle.
