You can check-out street-food favourite Hix’s Fishdog when it takes up a temporary kennel in The Hat & Tun in Clerkenwell for a three-week residency, Wednesday to Friday evenings from 29th July – 14th August.
Usually found at street food markets, festivals and private events around the UK in the signature 1971 Citroen H Van, Fishdog from celebrated chef and restaurateur Mark Hix serves up seriously good seafood – (sourced daily from the South West) – with a comfort food twist.
Continuing The Hat and Tun’s street food collaborative series, which has already seen pop-ups from Morty & Bobs and Crabbieshack, Hix’s Fishdog will be serving a selection of their most popular options, including:
Fishdog
Panko-breadcrumbed pollock in a hot dog-style bun with minted mushy peas and tartare sauce
(£5.50/£7.50 with chips)
Holy F***ed Fish Balls
A sure-to-sell-out side of croquettes served with spicy mayonnaise made using fellow street food favourite The Rib Man’s Holy F**k Hot Sauce
(£4)
Spicy Crab chips
(£7)
If your sugar levels need a sharp spike, you can finish things off with a portion of mini doughnuts (£3.50) rolled in cinnamon sugar and crying out to be dunked ‘n’ devoured with the accompanying Cornish sea salt caramel sauce.
Hix’s FishDog will serve from 6pm to 9.30pm every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday between 29th July and 14th August.
