The Zetter Group, Chef Bruno Loubet and Airport Retail Enterprises (ARE) are joining forces to open Grain Store Café & Bar at Gatwick Airport’s South Terminal.
London Gatwick is to be home to the first offshoot of Chef Bruno Loubet and The Zetter Group’s award-winning Grain Store restaurant in King’s Cross, opening autumn 2015.
The new dining offering at Gatwick’s South Terminal will feature a completely new family-friendly all-day menu, specially created with airport travellers in mind. The menu will feature fresh and organic vegetables, and fish and meat sourced from local British producers. As with Grain Store in King’s Cross, here too vegetables will be the star of the show as Bruno brings the principles of seasonality and sustainability to an airport café menu.
A new highlight at the eatery is a wholesome breakfast menu created by Bruno exclusively for Grain Store Café & Bar at Gatwick Airport. It also features a bar with innovative cocktails, a great wine list and unique non-alcoholic drinks and smoothies.
Grain Store Café & Bar will focus on speed of service, in line with Gatwick Airport’s promise to serve meals within 15 minutes, providing premium dining whilst giving passengers peace of mind about their flight plans.
The space has been designed by the renowned Russell Sage Studio who is behind some of London’s most iconic restaurants including The Savoy Grill, Quaglino’s, and the original Grain Store in King’s Cross.
Operator ARE is a family-owned business with over 40 years’ experience operating food and drink outlets in airports throughout Australia. ARE was the first operator to bring premium dining to Australian airports through partnerships with some of the country’s most prolific chefs.
Charlotte Christiansen, Business Development Manager at Gatwick Airport, says, “Gatwick is absolutely thrilled to be Grain Store’s first opening following their flagship restaurant in King’s Cross. As part of our ongoing transformation of Gatwick’s retail and restaurants, we’ve been working tirelessly to attract brands that reflect what our passengers want and need. This is a perfect example of our work paying off. We’re looking forward to welcoming the first passengers through the door and showcasing the renowned cooking talents of Bruno Loubet.”
