The latest addition to the Stable Bar & Restaurants has opened its doors to the public. The new restaurant is located in Winchester’s city centre on The Square and is the ninth location for the group.
The cathedral to cider and pizza has created 20 new jobs and prides itself on bringing a delicious range of freshly cooked pizza, based on local ingredients, and a range of over 60 ciders to the Hampshire city.
The Stable is the brainchild of Richard and Nikki Cooper and Richard’s brother Andy Briggs. The concept started life when Richard and Nikki bought The Bull Hotel in Bridport and decided to convert an old stable adjacent to the property into a pizza and cider restaurant. Their ethos remains unchanged – a commitment to the best quality, local ingredients with interesting and unusual topping combinations on their organic sourdough base.
Following the success of that first restaurant, the couple have since opened seven more in locations including Bath, Bristol, Newquay, Falmouth, Plymouth, Weymouth and Poole
The venue will be looking into hosting regular music nights and the popular Tuck in Tuesday will also be starting from 21st July – with selected pizzas, side salad and a drink for only £10.
