Easy as Apple Pie with Apple Pay

By James Russell: Easy as Apple Pie with Apple Pay

July 15, 2015

JUST EAT has become one of the first companies in the UK to offer Apple Pay to its hungry customers, allowing their customers to pay for their takeaway with a single touch, meaning they can order faster than ever before.

Customers using Apple Pay will also enjoy an extra serving of security. Apple Pay encrypts all payment information, keeping customers’ identities and card details completely private every time they pay. And by storing their credit and debit cards in the Passbook app, JUST EAT’s customers will never have to re-enter their banking details again.

Key features include:

  • Can be used by those with:
    • iPhone 6
    • iPhone 6+
    • iPad Air 2
    • iPad Mini 3
  • Simpler checkout flow, saving extra minutes when you’re really hungry!
  • One touch pay with Touch ID, removing the need for passwords and CVC codes
  • Even more secure – every payment is encrypted and all card details are stored on device

Most convenient takeaway ordering experience

Carlos Morgado, Group CTO, JUST EAT, said: “JUST EAT is about creating the best and most convenient takeaway ordering experience. That means being wherever our customers may be, and enabling them to order using whatever device they might have.

“With more than 60% of JUST EAT UK orders now being placed using a mobile device such as an iPhone or iPad, we’re always innovating to meet and exceed customers’ needs. Now a JUST EAT takeaway is only a fingerprint away.”

Apple Pay works with most of the major credit and debit cards from the main UK banks. JUST EAT customers can just add their participating cards to Passbook and will continue to get all the rewards, benefits and security of your cards. Participating banks can be found here.
