A new Copper Café, the third outlet in the brand, is set to open in Nottingham City Centre bringing a relaxed daytime café that transforms into a comfortable bar in the evening. And, judging by the site (pictured above), this will be a great new venue for the city.
Great Northern Inns, who already own The Cross Keys and The Approach in the city centre, Southbank and Trent Navigation in West Bridgford along with the two existing Copper venues in West Bridgford and Mapperley, are now expanding the brand into the city centre.
The latest addition to the Copper brand, is located on the corner of Market St and Upper Parliament St, and was formerly Reflex, O’Neill’s, Café Royale and originally a Martin’s (Barclays) bank. The venue is currently undergoing extensive building work and a full refurbishment to bring it up to the high standards already set by the West Bridgford (interior pictured below) and Mapperley venues.
David Willans, one of the Directors of Great Northern Inns said, “We’re delighted to announce that we’ve now bought the freehold on this impressive building in Nottingham City Centre. It’s taken many months of negotiations, working closely with our fantastic team at Fraser Brown solicitors, so we’re extremely excited to be able to progress with our plans and crack on with the refurbishment to create a fantastic city centre venue to add to the Copper portfolio.”
As with the other Copper outlets, the new site will provide a sophisticated venue for dining, drinking and entertainment within Nottingham city centre, providing a lot of new jobs, as well as increased footfall and revenue within the city for an already vibrant and exciting sector.
