Autograph achieve Healthy Living Award in all Scottish sites

By James Russell: Autograph achieve Healthy Living Award in all Scottish sites

July 29, 2015

Autograph, Interserve’s national workplace caterer, is celebrating all of its Scottish catering sites achieving the Scotland ‘Healthy Living Award’. The award honours Scottish catering outlets that are making significant changes to the way they source, prepare and cook their food in line with the Scottish dietary targets.

Healthy Living Awards were received by three Tesco Bank sites, one in Glasgow, one in Haymarket, Edinburgh, one at the main Head Quarters, Edinburgh, as well as the Tesco Customer Service Centre in Dundee. Autograph catering sites at Sainsbury’s Bank in Lochside, Edinburgh and Police Scotland College, East Kilbride were also presented with the award.

156 criteria of the Scotland Healthy Living Award

Each Autograph site in Scotland provides employees with a full service restaurant experience in line with the 156 criteria of the Scotland Healthy Living Award. The award requirements focus on the levels of fats and oils, salt, sugar, availability of fruit, vegetables and starchy foods, as well as the provision of healthy children’s food and a promotion and marketing strategy aligned with the site’s food offering.

Tina McCurrach, regional operations director at Autograph comments: “To receive these awards in all of our sites demonstrates the hard work our chefs and managers have put into creating menus to inspire our customers and food they will relish. We are now looking to challenge our Healthy Living Award holders with achieving the Healthy Living Award Plus to further promote our healthy eating credentials.”
