Cucina Angela is Angela Hartnett’s first overseas restaurant and will open in the Lime Wood Group’s Portetta Hotel later this season.
Cucina Angela will serve ‘Italian influenced mountain food’, with a nod to the local Savoyard cuisine and with the best Italian kitchen specialities. Plenty of locally sourced produce will be used to complement a terrific range of meats and cuts that will be grilled on an open range within the restaurant.
The restaurant itself will be building on the relaxed, casual style of Portetta (pictured above): expect a some rustic mountain chic, with lots of old and new textured wood and stone for the floors and bar. Rich colours and textured fabrics on oversized banquette sofa seating, with warm toned leather for chairs and wooden tables, all designed to set a tone that is both at ease with itself and informal – ideal for a ski resort and reflective of the personalities involved.
