Innovative British hotel company Snoozebox has won global recognition for its portable hotel room concept, designed by tangerine, at the Good Design Awards 2015. It was named Overall Winner for Architectural Design and the the coveted Good Design Award Trophy was awarded in Sydney to Snoozebox in collaboration with UK design agency, tangerine.
As category winner, Snoozebox was just one of seven projects nominated for the coveted Good Design Award of the Year. Other winners on the night included Tesla Motors from the US and Über – the taxi app.
Long-standing and prestigious awards
The Good Design Awards are one of the longest standing and most prestigious design awards in the world, promoting excellence in design and innovation since 1958. Snoozebox and tangerine were delighted that the new portable hotel rooms, which launched this summer at music festivals, sporting fixtures and events across the UK and Europe, won not only a Good Design Award for the Interior Design category, but also received wider acclaim, as the overall Architectural Design winner.

For tangerine, Snoozebox represents the latest success in the agency’s mission to deliver ground-breaking innovation and design that makes consumers happy and businesses profitable.
