Because a smaller glass will reduce a wine’s scent and taste, Royal Leerdam has decided to ‘open up’ its sparkling wine glass. This glass looks nothing like a flute. Nor does it much resemble a coupe, rather its open, round shape allows for a deeper appreciation of a sparkling wine’s nuances. The new flavour enhancing shape is designed for serving Champagne, English Sparkling Wine, Prosecco, Cava, Cremant, Sekt and Vonkelwijn. The list price of the sparkling wine glass is just £2.60.
