Chef Damian Wawrzyniak brings his flair to The Old Manor

By James Russell: Chef Damian Wawrzyniak brings his flair to The Old Manor

June 26, 2015

Award winning Chef, Damian Wawrzyniak, is bringing his unique flair to Hertfordshire’s The Old Manor. The traditional British pub will feature traditional dishes with original recipes, great tastes and excellent presentation.

Popular with locals, theatre lovers and commuters from the nearby train station, The Old Manor will experience a menu overhaul with the specialist help of Wawrzyniak.

Established in 2000, the family run free house is a great place to meet a few friends for a drink and soak up the warm and friendly atmosphere. Located in Potter’s Bar, The Old Manor has rustic country features with the sophisticated menu of an inner city fine dining establishment.

The brand new menu, developed by Damian Wawrzyniak, is due to launch this week. Wawrzyniak spent time with The Old Manor’s chefs running cook-off competitions and conducting multiple tasting sessions to ensure the menu was perfect for the venue.

From classics to originals

Damian Wawrzyniak said, “It was great to be asked to help develop The Old Manor’s menu. The new menu offers customers a range of traditional dishes and original recipes with a twist, all with excellent presentation – a crucial element for any menu.

“The journey through the development stages was both fun and informative. It helped me work with the pub’s chefs and identify their strengths and weaknesses, allowing me to manage the kitchen much more effectively. The cook offs and tasting sessions allowed the staff from The Old Manor to get really stuck in and offer their own thoughts and ideas on menu improvement.

“What we have been left with is a range of cuisine that will appeal to everyone; from the beloved classics to some original homemade dishes – all using the best ingredients and served beautifully because dining is an experience, not a chore.”
