Despite recent rumours to the contrary, and continued objections from independent coffee shops in particular, it seems that Waitrose has not changed its policy and practice of giving free hot drinks to myWaitrose members.
Waitrose confirms that the myWaitrose terms have not changed, although a number of publications have reported otherwise.
Any myWaitrose member just needs to show their myWaitrose card when they’re in branch to receive a free hot beverage from a self-service machine each day. This has always been the case.
Reports that members of the public who do not actually have a myWaitrose card have been freely helping themselves in branch appear to have been exaggerated…so far.
