Tortilla, the largest fast-casual Mexican restaurant group in the UK and Europe has secured a franchise agreement with Eathos, the restaurant operating platform based in Dubai.
After a highly successful year for Tortilla in the UK which included the launch of eight restaurants and substantial year on year sales growth for existing restaurants, the arrangement will see Eathos take the brand to the Middle East to open a number of sites over the next five years.
Mexican cuisine for the Middle East

It’s been a fantastic year for us after passing the milestone of 21 sites and we’ve got another exciting year ahead where we’ll be expanding our core business by another ten sites. Tortilla serves up classic California-style Burritos and Tacos inspired by the taquerias in the Mission District of San Francisco‚ the self-proclaimed burrito capital of the world and home of Tortilla founder Brandon Stephens.
The menu offers a range of authentic fillings and toppings such as chargrilled chicken; carnitas – outdoor reared pork, slow cooked for hours until fall-apart tender; and barbacoa – Scottish farm-assured beef, seared and braised in mellow adobo then shredded. The focus is on fast, affordable, great quality food for eat in or take away.
