Saturday 16 May sees London’s celebrated den of mischief and mayhem expand its litter with the launch of The Lucky Pig Fulham. Inspired by the decadence of deco, The Lucky Pig has emerged from its underground Fitzrovian lair to offer the pleasure-seekers of south west London a brand new joint in which to relax, dine and imbibe.
Although still redolent of the glamour and hedonism of the 1920s – its name after all references 1920s racketeer Lucky Luciano and Prohibition speakeasies (blind pigs) – its offering marks a new venture for the brand.
All-day food offering
Open weekdays from 8am and weekends from 11am, The Lucky Pig Fulham’s spacious interiors will present Fulhamites and visitors alike with a fabulous all-day food offering, all under the watchful eye of a man who really knows his onions – brilliantly talented head chef Michael Mannion.
Having worked alongside some of the world’s great chefs, Raymond Blanc and Marco Pierre White among them, Michael’s dazzling career has taken him from Claridge’s and Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons to Chez Nico and The Lighthouse in Wimbledon village, where his skills earned him 2 AA rosettes.
Dishes will include Pressed ox-cheek & bone marrow, soused baby beetroot, endive & Norbury blue or A dozen quail’s eggs, celery leaves, summer truffle & flaked salt, all created using the finest seasonal, locally sourced ingredients.
By day The Lucky Pig Fulham will offer a sumptuous setting for ritzy breakfasts and brunches – washed down with a cup of own-blend coffee – together with languid lunches. As the sun sets, so it transforms into a vibrant venue for innovative fine dining set to the soundtrack of the best live music London has to offer.
Cocktails with a wicked twist
The Lucky Pig has become a byword for classic cocktails with a wicked twist, and Fulham’s menu is destined to offer discerning taste buds similar temptation, with an array of artfully concocted and deliciously daring cocktails.
Home-made syrups and home-infused spirits are used to create Noodle Juice (tea-infused Tanqueray gin, white vermouth and citrus) and Flappers Favorite (yellow Chartreuse, raspberry, honey and fizz) and should a choice of tipple prove too onerous a decision, then highly trained bartenders are on hand to help.
Decor
Offering the perfect backdrop against which to indulge, The Lucky Pig Fulham’s interiors ooze period glamour and contemporary flair. Antique mirrors, cut glass decanter lights, black and white marble floors, exposed brickwork and luxurious velvet chesterfield sofas are offset by polished surfaces and a palette of exquisite blues and greys. The décor has been designed to flow seamlessly from day to night, with the light bright tones of the entrance giving way to the wooden panelling and rich hues of a more intimate dining area towards the rear, available for group bookings.
