Spirit Pub Company’s Executive Management Team took on Flaming Grill’s latest – and hottest – chilli wing challenge to celebrate the launch of the brand’s new menu.

The 24 piece chicken wings, which are presented in a Fire Extinguisher container, are the brands hottest to date and feature a mixture of mouth-numbing chillies such as Birds Eye Red and Naga Bhut Jolokia to create the fiercest of flavours.

Not for the faint hearted

The three Executive Management Team members, CEO Mike Tye, Chief Operating Officer Alan Morgan and HR Director Debbie Moore, took on the challenge at Spirit’s Burton based Support Centre.  Mike said: “We couldn’t miss out on an opportunity to help celebrate the launch of Flaming Grill’s new menu with the Support Centre team. The wings are a fantastic – if not fiery – addition to the challenge range and definitely not one for the faint-hearted; my lips are still burning!”

Chicken Waffle Burger

Joining the Fire Extinguisher Wings on the new menu, which is available in all 140 pubs from Tuesday 12th May, will be the Chicken Waffle Burger, featuring a breaded chicken burger served between two sweet waffles, the Flaming Baked Alaska for two and the Char Sui Pork Noodles.

Michelle Fisher, Brand Manager for Flaming Grill, said: “We’re really proud of the new menu; not only have we expanded our challenge range but, following the success of the Donut Burger, we’ve once again had some fun mixing sweet & savoury to create the new Chicken Waffle Burger – one that is sure to be either loved or hated!”
