World class polo ponies took over the city on 14 April to celebrate the partnership between new city restaurant venue M and London’s top polo event, Chestertons Polo In The Park, which comes to town on 5-7 June.
Hot on the heels of the recent trend for animal-inspired bars and events as seen with The Owl Bar, The Cat Café and the upcoming Micro-Pig picnic, the ponies and international players Henry Brett and Oscar Mancini descended on M Restaurant, Threadneedle Street to check out the venue ahead of the ‘Meet the Polo Players Dinner’ which takes place at the restaurant on 21st April.
Ponies were available for stressed out executives to pet, feed carrots and even take a ride around the Square Mile on. One cheeky pony even made it into the restaurant, while his rider started ordering off the menu whilst still astride. The dinner will be an evening of polo fun and games, starting with a Chukkas-a-clock cocktail reception, followed by a delicious three-course dinner in M.
