Hilton Worldwide has announced the appointment of Nicholas Chalmers as General Manager of Conrad London St. James, effective from 13 April 2015. With extensive knowledge in luxury hotel management spanning operations and revenue, Chalmers brings strong commercial insight and a wealth of leadership to the role.

Chalmers joins Conrad London St. James from three years with Jumeirah Carlton Tower, where he was Hotel Manager. Prior to Jumeirah Carlton Tower, Chalmers also held senior leadership roles within Rooms Division and Revenue Strategy at some of London’s top hotels, including Grosvenor House – a JW Marriott Hotel, The Landmark and Renaissance Chancery Court.

Chalmers’ professional experience is also complemented by postgraduate study at the University of Surrey and Reading University, as well as fronting the General Manager Program at Cornell University, New York. With a strong professional history, Chalmers is an ideal addition to Conrad London St. James team. Highlights include overseeing a £28 million operation, firmly establishing Chalmers as an accomplished revenue leader, winning Marriott Global Leader and team awards in 2004.

Stuart Bailey, CEO of Splendid Hospitality Group and owner of Supreme Hotels LLP commented: “We considered Nicholas’ background in luxury hospitality paramount to championing high performance in all aspects of the hotel. With an understanding of both operations and finance, Nicholas will maintain the highest guest service standards and luxury hotel management principles.”

Conrad London St. James offers a variety of 256 rooms and suites over six floors, from superior and executive rooms to duplex suites. Situated in a highly sought-after location in Britain’s political heartland, global luxury travellers are invited to experience a sophisticated environment featuring locally inspired style and design.
