Camden Town Brewery exceeded its £1.5 million Crowdcube target some time back – it now stands at over £2 million raised, and remains open to investors until 21 April. A massive success.
Last week, Camden Town announced the new valuation of the brewery in relation to interest from outside investors: a small group of investors (reported to be a Belgian manufacturing family) had approached with a view to investing, and has now agreed to invest up to £10 million for a 20% stake in the business.
As a direct result, Crowdcube investors also benefit because the value of the business is adjusted down to £50 million (from the quoted £75 million), and the value of their investments increases proportionately. Not a bad early result!
