Boston Tea Party, the west country chain of cafes, has revitalised its menu, taking inspiration from current trends – and after comprehensive testing by colleagues and trialling at BTP Harborne.
What’s new?
To kick things off, there’s a mezze (pictured) eaten alone or shared – perfect on a sunny day with a glass (or bottle) of wine.
The slow roast lamb or halloumi pittas (below) take inspiration from the traditional middle eastern kebabs and cast aside the questionable late night snack reputation.
Then there’s sesame, soy and chili marinated chicken served with brown rice, or baked chicken enchilada to give the menu a bit of a kick – plenty of chili and spice but cooled by the avocado and tomato salsa.
There are two new salads: firstly, the roasted cauliflower and spiced cous-cous, packed with chick peas, sultanas, almonds, sumac dressing and sweetened by pomegranate seeds.
Second, the gloriously colourful roasted red and marinated golden beetroot salad topped with creamy goats cheese and candied pecans.
With the warmer weather finally approaching, it looks like BTP could attract new customers this summer…
