Fleurets is marketing the Boutiful Cow at 51 Eagle Street. The property is located on the corner of Dane Street, close to Red Lion Square and London’s legal district, within a few minutes walk from Holborn tube station.
The pub occupies the ground floor of a six-storey building and comprises a 30-cover restaurant and bar. Fleurets is offering the leashold of the property from an asking price of £395,000.
The Bountiful Cow prides itself on its excellent steaks and over-sized burgers, but a lot of customers seem to step in for the funky and sophisticated ambience of artworks and posters celebrating all things beefy. The walls host some rare cow-themed film artworks: the dominating, original poster of Barbara Stanwyck and Ronald Reagan, shown as they appeared in Cattle Queen of Montana, is one of them. At the entrance, a large signed political cartoon by The Guardian’s Steve Bell shows Prime Minister David Cameron in a big hat, overseeing cattle producing piled-up signs of The Big Society.
The Bountiful Cow is across the street from the main offices of legal eagles Mishcon de Reya, members of which tend to use the premises as a staff canteen. Other regular customers are documentary film-maker Alan Curtis and his wife, actor Hugh Grant and restaurant critic Fay Maschler, who recently visited the pub with her husband and sister for a quiet meal.
