Last Saturday when tweeting with Chef Damian Wawrzyniak, founder of the Fine Art of Dining, TV presenter, Master Craftsman at The Craft Guild of Chefs, previously found in the kitchens of two Michelin Star restaurant Noma in Copenhagen and currently Head of the Hospitality and Culinary Arts Academy which will open in London’s Park Royal 2016…we got onto the subject of London’s best restaurants.
We tweeted a challenge to Chef Damian to create his own Top 10 London Restaurants and he has duly obliged, so here they are…
10. Salt and Pepper, Leicester Square. In my opinion the most authentic Pakistani Grill Restaurant in London and maybe even in UK! Chef Patron Mr. Mahmood Akbar is the most recognised Chef in Pakistan, owner of 12 Restaurants including several in Lahore.

9. Joel Robuchon, London, one of the most iconic and beautiful places in the heart of London by Legendary Chef Joël Robuchon.

8. Pollen Street Social, Pollen Street. The well know bistro serving Fine Dining, a truly excellent dining experience by Chef, Jason Atherton.

7. Sidi Maarouf, Edgware Road. When you dine at Sidi, you feel like flavours, spices and love is always sent to you from the Chef! Interior design will complete your journey! One of the best or probably The Best Moroccan Cuisine in London!

6. M1lk, Balham. I simply love breakfast and I like my breakfast to be as tasty and healthy (earthy) as possible, it is always here! If you believe a successful restaurant must be operated by a restauranteur with a minimum of 30 years’ experience, trust me you are wrong! You need to apply your heart and soul to cook amazing food and brew incredible coffee…M1lk hearts are young, dynamic and hungry to become best in town!

5. Chiltern Firehouse, Marylebone. When you have your kitchen run by one of my favourite chefs in UK – Nuno Mendez, you do not need to worry about the food, nor do you need concern yourself about bookings when you have Andre Balazs behind the project…The food is truly amazing, the wine list will blow you away, celebrity guests will turn your head upside down!

4. Tom Aikens, Chelsea (Closed), even though this restaurant has closed, it will be always in my top 10! Tom Aikens is a magician, his food speaks out with a fluent understanding of nature. And the experience, oh the experience each course detail gets better with every bite. Loved it and then some!
3. The Crockers Folly, St. Johns Wood. This place is so old and now, it’s very NEW! Built in 1897 by Franck Crocker, re-invented again in 2014 with amazing decor, mind blowing and I will say again MIND BLOWING cocktails and clean, pure, honest and real food prepared by food lovers, you will go there and … you will want to stay forever!

2. Ledbury, Nothing Hill. After dining at Ledbury, I felt like I had made one of my best investments ever. A very authentic and true food experience finished by one of the best wine lists in London!

NUMBER 1. Gordon Ramsay, Royal Hospital Road. The food, service and overall experience here is just exquisite and I can’t really say anything more. If I was a Sommelier, I would describe this Restaurant as: Clear, High, Deep, Full Bodied, Rich and OUTSTANDING!

So our thanks to Damian and onto the next part of his challenge. We did point out before he took on the task above that our last Top London Restaurant page received over 1,000 shares through social media. We also asked if he thought his Top 10 could beat that and the reply was ‘no problem’. So if you are inspired by Chef Damian’s selection please show your gratitude and share this page with your friends and colleagues.
