JUST EAT has announced some interesting trend data about the food and restaurant industry in the UK.
Orders of sushi have seen a phenomenal growth since 2013 on JUST EAT – with the number of orders rising 120% in that time.
And mild curries like Korma are more popular than hot curries like Phall – more than 16x more Kormas than Phalls were ordered on JUST EAT in the last year.
Commenting on these trends, JUST EAT’s UK MD Graham Corfield said: “Sushi orders have boomed in the past couple of years, showing the evolving taste of British consumers. This is all thanks to the amazing choice available to people today. However some things, like our palates, just don’t change. While we Brits love curries, we’re seeing 16 times the number of orders for milder curries like Korma than hot ones like Phall.”
