Reduce stress with Waggers at Staybridge Suites

By James Russell: Reduce stress with Waggers at Staybridge Suites

February 6, 2015

Waggers, an adorable miniature chocolate labradoodle, is London’s first hotel dog.  He has just been appointed by the 93-suite Staybridge Suites London Vauxhall to be part of the hotel’s ‘welcome home’ reception team.

While Waggers (three months old) won’t be able to take guests bags on arrival, he is guaranteed to offer a waggy welcome and a heart-warming gaze. Working alongside his owner and Hotel Manager, Giovanni Valentini and the rest of the team he will ensure guests enjoy a first class ‘more home than hotel’ experience while staying at the Staybridge Suites Vauxhall.

Hotel Manager, Giovanni Valentini said: “Labradoodles are renowned to be sociable, obedient dogs who enjoy company and have a loving temperament. Waggers has integrated well and is quickly adapting to hotel life. He is most definitely a wonderful furry asset to the team.

Reduce stress, boost morale…

“Studies have revealed that having a dog around you not only helps reduce stress levels but also boosts morale, keeping everybody happy and upbeat.  As many of our guests are here for longer stays while on business we think the Waggers welcome will be a great boon to the end of a working day.”

Guests will be encouraged to tip Waggers with a pat on the back or just give him a big cuddle when he is out and about by the fireplace in the lounge. However in line with hotel policy guests have been asked to refrain from feeding him without consulting the management first.

Labradoodles like Waggers are popular amongst celebrities including Jennifer Aniston, Graham Norton, Tiger Woods, and Jeremy Clarkson.
