The Real Greek, the authentic Eastern Mediterranean restaurant group, announces the launch of its latest restaurant in London’s Soho. This is the company’s seventh restaurant in the capital and the eighth in the UK.
The 1,716 square foot restaurant is situated in Berwick Street, adjacent to the shopping hub of Oxford Street, and provides 75 covers in this prime central London location. The restaurant will be run by General Manager Kostas Kyriakou, who has a successful heritage working for The Real Greek, previously overseeing the Covent Garden restaurant.
Now eight restaurants
The Real Greek group encompasses eight unique restaurants, all of which aim to provide an authentic Mediterranean dining experience. The menu encompasses traditional hot and cold meze dishes, designed for sharing. Many ingredients used in the restaurant, such as wine and olive oil, are imported directly from Greece, and dishes are freshly prepared in-store in order to retain flavour and authenticity.
The Real Greek was founded in London in 1999, with restaurants currently across the capital at: Bankside, Covent Garden, Marylebone, Westfield London, Spitalfields, Westfield Stratford City , their first outside of London in Windsor, and now Soho.
Christos Karatzenis, Head of Operations at The Real Greek, said: “Berwick Street is a foodie mecca for many Londoners – from the lively market to the huge mix of unique restaurants. It receives huge footfall from local office workers, tourists and shoppers, all of whom are seeking a laid back and sociable dining experience. Since the launch of the first The Real Greek in 1999, we have noticed there’s a real appetite for Eastern Mediterranean food, which is healthy and nutritious, and we have opened and continue to open our restaurants to accommodate this growing demand.”
The restaurant is located at 50 Berwick Street, Soho, London, W1F 8SJ.
