The Grove, the renowned luxury five-star resort in Hertfordshire just thirty minutes from central London, announces the return of Michael Helling as their new General Manager.
The Grove first opened in September 2003, at the time Michael was Director of Food & Beverage. A decade on, Michael is warmly welcomed back and he is keen to strengthen The Grove’s position for the next decade.

Michael returns from a successful tenure as General Manager at The Aviator, Farnborough which he helped to launch in 2008. Prior to The Aviator, he worked with Hongkong & Shanghai Hotels Ltd. for three years.
Born into hospitality, with time in his parent’s restaurant he later graduated from The School for Hotel Management in The Hague. Now with over 30 years’ experience, he brings a strong depth of knowledge of leading world-class restaurants and hotels, and a deep strategic understanding of the luxury gourmet travellerfrom senior roles on luxury cruise ships in the US and his work with Terence Conran including Quaglino’s, Bluebird, Sartoria, as well as opening Sketch, London.
The Grove was voted Best Medium Independent Hotel Employer at Hospitality Awards 2014.
