Drake & Morgan, the award-winning bar and restaurant group, is set to launch its eighth site, The Refinery, Regent’s Place. Opening in March 2015, the latest venue is a return to the name of Drake & Morgan’s first opening on Bankside, and will encompass a dining area, bar, deli and outdoor terrace.
The Refinery will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner offering an all-day menu with a choice of seasonal dishes. An extensive wine list sits alongside premium spirits, beers and innovative cocktails – the signature stamp of a Drake & Morgan bar.
Design
Designed by Fusion Design and Architecture Ltd, the 3,000-square-foot venue seats 108, with 56 al fresco covers. Floor-to-ceiling windows allow light to flood the space, with natural timbers, reclaimed brick flooring and clean lines creating a rustic feel. A colour palette of warm caramels, tan and mocha alongside bespoke lighting and antique copper touches add elegance, whilst a statement bar made from stacked oak sleepers provides a focal point. A mixture of furniture from low-slung chairs and high stools to soft leather sofas offers a variety of spaces for eating, drinking and relaxing.
A large outdoor terrace features comfy armchairs, abundant potted plants, blankets and outdoor heaters, providing a space for both warmer and cooler months.
A short walk from Regent’s Park, The Refinery is within easy reach of six different London Underground stations, including Great Portland Street, Warren Street and Euston.
Jillian MacLean, Managing Director of Drake & Morgan, says: “Regent’s Place is a great location for us, the 13-acre site is occupied by nearly 16,000 workers and residents and we’re looking forward to bringing our innovative concept to the West End. The launch of The Refinery, Regent’s Place is part of Drake & Morgan’s continued growth, with many more opening in the pipeline.”
