Restaurant and bar operator Drake & Morgan, whose current portfolio stands at seven large-scale sites across the city, has named Chris Weaver as General Manager of new site The Refinery at Regent’s Place, opening 13 March 2015.
Recruited from within, Chris will step into the role from his current position as General Manager of The Happenstance in St. Paul’s, the group’s sixth site, and will draw on his extensive managerial experience in the day-to-day running of the 3,000-sqaure-foot site at Regent’s Place.
A dynamic, self-motivated and highly versatile hospitality professional with over 10 years’ in the industry, Chris has been committed to Drake & Morgan since 2011. From driving sales and financial planning, managing events to training staff, Chris has fast become a key figure in the company’s development, with specific understanding of new openings.
Prior to joining Drake & Morgan, Chris was General Manager at three of Brighton and Hove’s most iconic, fast-paced beachside venues, The OHSO Social, Brighton Music Hall and The Freemasons. Chris’ first foray into hospitality, meanwhile, was at Brighton’s largest and most reputable bar and club operator, Drink In Brighton, with a collection of properties across the city.
