The Greyhound on the Test has welcomed Chris Heather as Head Chef. Voted the Michelin pub of the year in 2014 the pub is renowned for its fabulous food offering and with Chris at the helm the kitchen intends to go from strength to strength.
Chris started as a kitchen porter aged 14 and progressed to a three-year apprenticeship at Botley Park Hotel in Southampton. He then travelled to Australia where he worked for 18 months in Sydney as a chef at Bondi Icebergs, on Bondi Beach.
When he returned to the UK Chris started at The Ivy working with some fabulous chefs for 18 months.
After a job in Southampton Chris headed up the Kings Arms in Hampshire (formerly owned by Lucy Townsend who now owns The Greyhound on The Test) and joined The Greyhound in February 2015. Lucy is delighted to be working with Chris again.
