For all its grandeur, Simpson’s-in-the-Strand did not appear on a recent visit to be flourishing in the way of so much of London’s vibrant restaurant scene. So it’s no surprise to hear that owner The Savoy is considering its options. Simpson’s occupies a magnificent building, which must surely offer a major opportunity to the right operator.
