Sefton Park Hotel has opened a new bar and restaurant concept in the form of O’Connor’s.
Combining chief executive Conor O’Donovan’s Irish heritage with the popular ‘bar and grill’ style of dining, the new venture reflects the ongoing investment being spent on the South Liverpool property.
In order to create an authentic Irish feel, a series of creative installations were carried out, which include subtle black and green colour schemes with matching decorative undertones, as well as seating areas that combine contemporary style with home comforts.
Conor said: “I have been at the hotel for more than three years now and following the success of the rebrand that took place last year, it felt only right to revamp our in-house restaurant and bar. The objective is for the essence and attributes to flow throughout the entire ground floor of the venue, whilst adding in hints of Irish heritage in the bar and dining area.
“In addition to being a popular choice amongst hotel residents, we hope that the new look will make the restaurant stand out from the crowd and appeal to locals just wanting a meal and a chance to socialise. By incorporating a modern yet authentic theme, the venue will provide style and sophistication whilst emitting a warm and welcoming appeal.”
O’Connor’s offers diners a variety of meat and fish dishes straight from the flame grill, including steaks, ribs, burgers and fajitas; it also hopes to become renowned for its Afternoon Tea menus and traditional Sunday roasts, both of which are priced from £7.95. The open floor seating will provide the perfect setting for intimate meals and social drinks amongst friends, families and couples.
