Portland, the new dining venture for Will Lander (co-owner of The Quality Chop House) and Daniel Morganthau (previously of 10 Greek Street), has opened at 113 Great Portland Street. Leading leisure property specialists, Shelley Sandzer, secured the 1,725 sq ft site, which is split over ground floor and basement levels.
The restaurant, created by Lander and Morgenthau and head chef, Merlin Labron-Johnson, serves 45 covers and also has a private room for 16 available. Portland is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner from Monday to Friday, and lunch and dinner on Saturday. It is also open for lunch on Sundays.
Commenting on the Portland opening, Kit Alexander at Shelley Sandzer, said: “The team has done a fantastic job with the space and we are confident that Portland will be a great success. This is a prime central London location, just across the road from the BBC, and another example of Shelley Sandzer delivering the perfect location in the capital for an exciting new brand.”
Shelley Sandzer is known for the key role it plays in launching new entrants and unique concepts to the market, such as Patty & Bun, Ninth Ward, Big Fernand and Enrique Tomas.
