Food Allergy Workshops for foodservice: special offer

By James Russell: Food Allergy Workshops for foodservice: special offer

January 14, 2015

For food service businesses struggling to manage the new food allergy labelling laws, Bidvest 3663 is partnering with the Food Allergy Training Consultancy (FATC) to sponsor workshops which will take place in January and February 2015 across the UK.

Specially discounted

The workshops – “Allergen Labelling for Food Operation Businesses” – are suitable for any food outlets and should be attended by managers, chefs and/or team members. Bidvest 3663 customers can also obtain a 50% discount off the full price of £90.00 by quoting their account number.

Working towards compliance

The seminars give an overview of the new food labelling laws and go through the 14 allergens in detail. They also give information on coeliac disease and intolerances and how to deal with customers who are suffering from an allergic reaction. There will be practical exercises and help to enable businesses to give accurate information to customers in order to comply with the new Legislation. Details of resources available from FATC and the FSA (Food Standards Agency) will be highlighted.

Sponsors

These training events have also been sponsored by food suppliers Mondelez, Nestle, Premier Foods, Unilever Food Solutions and United Biscuits.
