Cereal Killer Café for global expansion?

By James Russell: Cereal Killer Café for global expansion?

January 14, 2015

London’s Cereal Killer Café (see H&C News launch coverage here) may be on the fast track to global success, according to a report in Marketing Week.

Cereal Killer Café has enjoyed great publicity and sales since opening only a few weeks ago, and is now looking not only to open a second cafe in Camden, but to form brand partnerships and franchise internationally.

The Brick Lane café sells more than 120 varieties of imported cereal as well as 13 types of pop tarts, and quotes 20,000 bowls of cereal sold since it opened.

The café earned early attention when an interview with the founding brothers Alan and Gary Keery and a Channel 4 reporter went viral after the journalist suggested local people couldn’t afford the price of £2.50 for a bowl of cereal.
