Hot on the heels of reporting a deal with the man behind the renowned Gansevoort Hotel Group, Bouygues UK has announced a contract with citizenM to deliver its new hotel – the contractor’s second in the East London district of Shoreditch.
Enabling works are being carried out on the Holy Well Lane site in Hackney, which will be home to the new eight-storey, 216-room boutique citizenM Shoreditch hotel – the latest offering from the concept-driven chain.
The affordable luxury hotel is scheduled for completion in summer 2016.
Commenting on the contract win, Bouygues UK Managing Director for Construction in London and the South East, Arnaud Bekaert, said: “This builds on our group’s existing relationship with the citizenM brand internationally, where we delivered their hotel at Charles De Gaulle airport in Paris.
“citizenM is consumer-led, with a distinctive style and the team here is delighted to be working on the new Shoreditch hotel to welcome more ‘citizens’ to London.
“The contract also shows we are reinforcing our presence in up and coming parts of the capital.”
