Robinsons’ Design Team has won a Northern Design Award for their work on The Foundry Vaults, Llangefni.
The awards celebrate the achievements of the region’s designers with accolades being awarded to leading architects, designers, trade and retailers. This year’s elite judging panel comprised some of the leading figures in the design world including HRH Princess Katarina of Yugoslavia, TV presenters George Clarke and Linda Barker, and designer Wayne Hemingway.
Robinsons entered the awards following a year of landmark investments, which has seen some of its most imaginative and celebrated refurbishments to date. Whilst the team were finalists in three categories, it was designer Glenn Doyle who wowed the judging panel with his stylish and tasteful re-imagining of the Foundry Vaults, picking up the award for Budget Commercial Interior Design Project.
The Foundry Vaults was closed for just over 3 weeks in July 2014 whilst the design team transformed the popular but dated interior into a sleek, contemporary tavern with an eclectic mixture of new furnishings married with the building’s historical features.
Neil Robinson-Stanier, Director of Robinsons Brewery said:
“The award is the culmination of a fantastic year for the new in-house design team headed by our senior Designer, John Riley. We knew that we had the expertise to lead the way and this award is a testimony to all the hard work and passion that is delivered day in and day out. 2015 will be an even bigger year for Robinsons Brewery. Watch this space!”
