This winter, London sees the launch of the UK’s first paleolithicand specialist ‘free-from’ restaurant. Following an exceptionally successful runas a monthly pop-up in Sussex, Pure Taste opens its 100% glutenfree restaurant on London’s Westbourne Grove. The restaurant will not onlycater for the paleolithic, and many other specialist diets, it will also providea gourmet menu and fine dining experience which would impress anyculinary audience.
Pure Taste’s official opening will be on 3rd December, bookings areavailable from 1stNovember.
Nutritional therapist, chef and chemistry graduate, Holly Redman, isthe driving force behind Pure Taste. As a coeliac herself, Redman knowsthe difficulties of eating out with special requirements. “The project isa culmination of everything I love and my experiences so far. The scientistin me loves the scientific challenges of working with unusual ingredients,while the nutritionist and chef relish being able to create amazing, healthydishes that people will love to eat, whether or not they have foodsensitivities” explainsRedman.
100% gluten free + ‘free-from’ diets
Pure Taste restaurant will be 100% gluten free, which means no gluten onsite at all, whereas contamination is likely in restaurants with “gluten freeoptions” on their menu.
Pure taste will also cater for those following the paleodiet, dairy free, grain free, legume free, egg free, low carb, lowFODMAP, vegetarian and vegan, to name a few.
The menus at Pure Taste willchange monthly and focus on seasonal, local ingredients and free-range or wildmeats and fish. The restaurant will also have an exclusively organic andbiodynamic wine list as well as a range of gluten-free beers, ciders, alcoholic andnon- alcoholiccocktails.
