Open Table, the UK’s leading online restaurant booking service, has announced the launch of OpenTable Gifts, a new way to treat a friend or family member to the hottest dish in town.
The new OpenTable Gifts product offers two options to gift-givers: the first, gifting an amount for a named restaurant; the second, selecting a set monetary amount and allowing the recipient to dine at a restaurant of their choice from a list of those participating in the programme.
Give a personalised restaurant experience
Mike Xenakis, Managing Director, OpenTable, comments: “OpenTable Gifts is the perfect present for foodies, offering the unique opportunity to give a personalised restaurant experience. They are simple to purchase and redeem, opening up a world of new dining experiences to the recipient. The launch further showcases OpenTable’s commitment to inspiring diners across the country.”
A selection of London’s hottest restaurants are already part of OpenTable Gifts including SushiSamba, Buddha Bar Restaurant, Q Grill and Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen. The programme will be expanding across London and into other areas across the country in the coming months.
Gift cards are available from £10, rising in £10 increments, for the set amount Gift and £25, rising in £25 increments, for the named restaurant Gift. Both types of Gifts are available up to a maximum of £500.
The gift can be purchased through the dedicated OpenTable Gifts site or directly from the restaurant pages at OpenTable. The gift card is delivered by email on the date of the sender’s choice. Once activated, the diner can make a booking made through the OpenTable site and the Gift can be redeemed at the restaurant either by being printed out, or shown on a mobile device.
