Takeaway food service Just Eat saw orders jump in the quarter from July to September.
The company’s interim management statement shows orders on a like-for-like basis had increased by 51 per cent in the third quarter, and Just Eat commented that this strong performance proves the firm’s ability to rebound, despite 2013 being sluggish largely because of the summer’s heat wave.
The company believes that recent acquisitions – Alloresto.fr in France, and the joint venture in Brazil with iFood – will prepare the business for strong performance this winter.
